Wired News published this interesting round up of beaches with Wi-Fi: Florida's Haulover Beach is perhaps the only clothing-optional beach that features Internet access. Sans clothes, sans wires: It's a theme.

Cool.
First naked DSL, now naked Wi-Fi.
Maybe Gunnison Beach, our local clothing-optional beach, is next. I'll take my iPAQ along next time I go there, just in case.

One nit about the article, however, the beautiful beaches of Long Island already have 5 companies providing Wi-Fi access to them, they don't have to wait for the big project to get off the ground. Fire Island Wireless also trumps Haulover Beach for the first clothing optional Wi-Fi'd beach. Lighthouse Beach anybody?
