It was a pretty widely known secret that Cafe.com was looking for a buyer: ICOA bought its 40 outlets across Southern California. Cafe.com put locations in Denny's, IHOP, and Dunkin Donuts, and the press release and general sense indicates that ICOA is buying those relationships in the hopes of expanding into more locations. The release notes that Denny's has 1,600 locations, IHOP 1,100 pancake houses, and Dunkin Donuts 4,400 donutaterias.
Past articles say that Cafe.com had a nationwide contract with Denny's. Does anybody have any info as to whether that is still on? Here's the articles-

Haven't heard much about Dunkin Donuts' national WiFi plans recently. IHOP looked like it was teaming with Wayport. At least they're doing a trial. So what's the deal with Denny's? If ICOA gets it and Dunkin, it appears ICOA's past Cometa execs will have gotten the last laugh on Wayport after Wayport's 2004 McDonald's win. [Especially after hiring a McDonald's exec recently- Mike Harshfield. A little rivalry perhaps?]
