The Washington Post discovers Wi-Fi: in an example of coverage by accident, the Washington Post reports on Wi-Fi as if it had never been reported on before in practically every other newspaper and national magazine. The article itself is quite good, covering the whole range from suburban consumer to security expert to public space networking to company use, with quotes from the usual suspects throughout. It never ceases to amaze me just how powerful and global Wi-Fi hotspots are becoming. Seems like everywhere one turns, a new hotspot appears. I'm starting to find them throughout rural towns and communities in Virginia, even more so than in densely populated metropolitan areas.
I truly believe wireless network solutions are changing the way one does business, entertains him or herself, receives an education, interacts with others and much more. There's nothing like sitting on a deck on a nice Spring evening, surfing the web while sipping a beer with the breeze ruffling your hair.
Thx much for posting this excellent article, Glenn.
Have a good one!
