Firetide introduces 5GHz mesh routers for indoor and outdoor use: The HotPoint 1500S (indoor) and HotPoint 1500R (outdoor) use the less-congested 5 GHz band for meshing together a network. Of course, the illustrations of use avoid the hidden-node problem: each node can see all of its adjacent nodes that communicate with another mesh point.
