Correspondent reports Penn Station Wi-Fi access gone: My correspondent reports that GuestWiFi pulled out of the Tracks Bar and Grill in Penn Station in Manhattan. The environment apparently made it difficult to run Wi-Fi, but I don't have additional details.
I tried to get connected in the Amtrak Waiting Area on Tuesday (Sept.2) with my Thinkpad. At first I had a strong signal then it vanished.
Tried again this week. Both Trackbar and Amtrak were dead.
It's a shame really. With Amtrak's long delays this could have been a good candidate for Wi-Fi. Part of the problem might have been that there was no sign indicating that there was a hotpot in the waiting area.
