Grand Central and Penn Station have hot spots?: Call me surprised and call me uninformed, and then call me a cab to Lexington and 57th. I had no idea that Penn and Grand Central had hot spot service, but in Boingo's latest promotion email, they noted the Penn service.
A well-informed New York regional hot spot operator said that Urban HotSpots runs the Grand Central Terminal location, and GuestWiFi operates the Penn Station outlet.
Which brings me to a side point: if you know of hot spot operators that are not listed in the Hot Spot Operators list at left, please let me know.
I can't verify it on their site, but I have a hunch that Concourse Communications is involved. (http://www.concoursecommunications.com)
Urban Hotspots is - curiously enough - the remnant of Joltage, run by David Rose.
According to Rose, Urban Hotspots was originally built as a proof-of-concept of Joltage, as noone else was picking up on it...
