Student wagers $1 to see if someone--anyone!--uses warchalking to find hot spots (second message on page): The researcher writes, I'll bet one
dollar that warchalking is not a meaningful way of locating Wi-Fi
hotspots. To win the bounty, can anyone deliver someone that uses
warchalking to locate Wi-Fi hotspots?
i'm willing to wager he's right. warchalking is a fun idea and all, but i'd rather do a quick search online before i go to my destination for a hotspot. or of course use kismet when you get there.
keeping a copy of kismet on your machine and find a network when you get there is much easier and less effort intensive than searching around for obscure graffiti...
